Modify Selection (Inpaint)

The Modify Selection (Inpaint) tool lets you add or transform specific parts of an image while keeping the rest of the composition completely intact.

Transforming Selections

Once you've selected an area with the Lasso, you can describe exactly what you want to see in that space:

• Add New Objects: "A colorful parrot"
• Swap Elements: "A glass of orange juice"
• Refine Details: "A bob cut hairstyle"

Focus on the Outcome: Directly describe the final object you want to see in the selection (e.g., "A bob cut hairstyle"). Avoid redundant verbs like "add", "change", or "please draw a". The more concise your prompt, the more accurately the AI will understand your intent.

In addition to text prompts, you can also click the Image button in the prompt bar to select a reference image directly from your canvas. The AI will use that image as visual context to guide the inpainting result.
